As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I support children 8+, youth, adults and families—in finding balance and meaning in their lives. I completed a Master of Arts in Theology – Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy from Wildred Laurier University in 2024. I am passionate about guiding individuals and families on their healing journeys, using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy, and art-inspired therapy. My client-centered approach is adaptable to meet the unique needs of each person I work with.

I find fulfillment in helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, grief, family conflicts and spiritual struggles. I believe in the inherent capacity for growth and transformation within each of us, and my role is to be a guide and catalyst for clients as they embark on their journey toward meaning, growth, and healing. My approach is grounded in compassion and empathy, allowing me to build trust and respect with those I serve.

My specialized trainings include: - Emotion Focused Family Therapy (2024) - Compassionate Inquiry Self-Study Short Course (2025) - Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (2023)

I have a particular passion for working with children and youth, using art-inspired therapy to provide a safe and creative environment for emotional expression. I also recognize the importance of family dynamics in the well-being of children and youth and strive to foster resilience and confidence in young individuals. My work is informed by my own healing journey, and I seek to help my clients cultivate harmony and alignment within themselves and their world.

New clients: Courtney is available for intake sessions for both individual adults and couples.

I am focused on supporting individual adults and couples who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and other emotional challenges. I have completed my externship in emotionally-focused couples therapy.

Birth trauma, which can occur during conception, pregnancy, birth, or postpartum, affects many individuals, and it’s important to know you are not alone in this experience. The impact of birth trauma can last long after the event, and I am deeply passionate about helping individuals feel validated, heard, and supported as they work through these difficult experiences.

I understand how isolating it can feel to carry trauma, and my goal is to provide a safe, validating space where we can work through the emotions that are difficult to face alone. I have a deep passion for supporting individuals to rebuild their emotional health and find healing through trauma-informed care.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with additional mental health training. I have worked in a hospital setting prior to my private psychotherapy practice and have supported adults through medical events, acute and chronic illness, and supported families through these challenges.

My specialized trainings include:

  • Externship for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy – ICEEFT (2025)
  • Brainspotting Phase 1 – Brainspotting Canada Association (2025)
  • CBT Fundamentals/CBT for Trauma – Laurier University (2024)
  • Connecting the Rainbow: Using Brainspotting to Heal Perinatal Trauma – Supportive Solutions (2024)
  • Becoming Trauma-Informed – Birth Trauma Ontario (2023)

My client-centered approach is tailored to each individual, recognizing that every person’s experience is unique. By unpacking your feelings and processing the grief and trauma you may be carrying, we can create lasting healing.

Though we don’t get to choose our trauma, we do have the power to choose healing. You deserve to feel supported as you move toward a place of emotional freedom and well-being. Let’s work together to help you take the next steps on your healing journey.

As a RN Psychotherapist, I support individual adults to find more balance in their lives. I believe that we all have the capacity to heal and grow, and am passionate about supporting families in their healing journey. I have specialized training in trauma, attachment and development, and nervous system regulation. I am also a mom of four kids who have been my greatest teachers.

Our lived experiences impact how safe we feel, our core beliefs and how our minds & bodies work. How we connect with our caregivers while growing up impacts our ability to create deep, meaningful relationships into adulthood.

We can’t change the past. What we can do instead, is reconnect with our inner authenticity that was lost, bit by bit. We can find compassion and gratitude for all that we have done to survive so far. It is only when we develop a relationship deep within and listen to the wisdom held inside our body, that our path towards healing begins.

I completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011 with Honors from Western University, and have spent 14 years learning all that I can about the human mind, body, development and spirituality. Rural nursing provided me opportunities to support all wakes of life, with training in perinatal and obstetrical nursing, palliative care, postoperative care, general medicine, and leadership as a clinical instructor and as a director of care in long-term care. I have advocated for funded lactation support, providing free lactation counselling as a LLL Leader (retired), collaborating with pediatricians during the pandemic as well as our local family health team. In addition, I have trained to write NCLEX test prep questions and have written obstetrical content for a clinical app for nursing students. I have experience creating and presenting for online conferences. I am extremely passionate about providing ethical, high-quality care to clients, prioritizing client-care at all times. I have witnessed how the medical system is broken in many different roles and positions, and I have built our team at Attuned Therapy with careful consideration to ensure that our clients feel safe, seen and well-supported.

My specialized trainings include:

  • Internal Family Systems Level 1 – IFS Institute (2025)
  • Internal Family Systems & Intimacy From the Inside Out, Parenting with the Internal Family Systems Model, Internal Family Systems & Children and Adolescents – IFS Institute Self-Paced Programs (2024)
  • 2-Day Self-Regulation Certificate Course: Neurological Interventions for Multisensory Integration, Emotional Regulation and Executive Functioning (2024)
